Common Sense Comes to Town!

Common sense is the most fairly distributed thing in the world, for each one thinks he is so well-endowed with it that even those who are hardest to satisfy in all other matters are not in the habit of desiring more of it than they already have. (Descartes)

Zombie Apocalypse

Posted on | March 4, 2011 | No Comments

Mutant fungi invade your brain. Their vicious toxins slowly take over your nervous system, forcing you to display odd behaviour, put your life in danger and infect as many of your fellow humans as possible. On contact, they are infected by spores and become in turn infamous zombies. You are powerless against this invasion.

Post-apocalyptic scenario or reality? Actually, it is the daily life of some South American ants, according to The Guardian, which add that four new species of fungi have been discovered to have toxic effects on these insects.

We’re still awaiting the Hollywood movie inspired by these phenomena. It will probably be released in time to coincide with the similarly apocalyptic date of December 21, 2012.

Meanwhile, researchers are still studying mushrooms with a potential to infect human brains. Colonel Gaddafi, Charlie Sheen and John Galliano are amongst the suspected victims, but they all declined to comment on the issue. However, you can expect to read about it on Charlie Sheen new Twitter feed.
